What are the primary sources of new tenants?

EmergeMemphis receives new tenants as referrals from other economic development programs, such as the one at MLGW, the Chamber of Commerce, the University of Memphis, the City of Memphis, local grassroots organizations, and through the National Business Incubator Association and its affiliates.

What does the admission process consist of?

After the completed application is submitted, a meeting is set up with our president or other staff member to determine if the applicant is a legitimate candidate. If the company passes this initial review, we will conduct a more formal technical assessment, which includes both a quantitative and qualitative review, as the firm must receive a certain raw score prior to proceeding with the process. If this hurdle is cleared, we ask for a business plan. The plan is reviewed and if approved, we come up with mutually agreeable goals-milestones that we expect the firm to accomplish during their tenure in EmergeMemphis.
