EmergeMemphis Announces Four New Board Members

MEMPHIS, TN (July 23, 2009) – EmergeMemphis, a business and technology-based accelerator for high growth, early stage companies that is considered the focal point of entrepreneurial activity in the region, announced four new board members today.
Joe Fracchia, Joseph E. Dudek, Jr., Douglas Scarboro and Amy Howell will join EmergeMemphis as new board members to contribute their professional experiences and expertise to the Emerge community.

They are sure to help achieve our mission to enhance the viability of high growth entrepreneurship by providing infrastructure, services and relationships to both create wealth and expand the Mid-South economy.,” said Gwin Scott, President EmergeMemphis.
Fracchia, Partner at VACO, has over 11 years of professional experience in public accounting and consulting. His primary focus has been helping clients understand and redesign their business and information technology processes to take advantage of efficiencies while maintaining effective internal controls.
As an attorney with Butler Snow O’Mara Stevens & Canada, PLLC, Dudek’s primary areas of practice include public and private securities offerings. He has served on the board of directors of Hope House Day Care Center, Memphis Literary Council, Young at Art Steering Committee, and he was a chairman of the Board of Directors for Hands On Memphis.
Scarboro is the Director of Community Engagement at the Leadership Academy where he offers innovative opportunities for alumni to engage with one another. He served as a founder of LaunchMemphis. Scarboro also teaches Organizational Behavior in the Executive Leadership Program and Business Strategy in the Business Administration Program at Christian Brothers University as an adjunct professor.
As the founder of Howell Marketing Strategies, Amy Howell has worked on national projects and expanded her business to include clients from many industries. She has served on the Development Board of Directors for the Memphis Church Health Center and the Economic Development Committee for the Memphis Regional Chamber of Commerce. Howell is currently a member of the Small Business Council of the Greater Memphis Chamber and serves on the board of Woodland Presbyterian School.
