Winners in Top 40 Under 40 Class of 2009 named in 13th annual competition

Young business professionals willing to share their talents by giving back to the community are the backbone of this city’s future.

For the 13th consecutive year, Memphis Business Journal ’s editorial staff had the difficult task of choosing 40 of these professionals under age 40 from a list of more than 200 strong candidates.

In addition to significant career accomplishments, their devotion to giving back to the community through volunteer service is what makes these young men and women shine. They represent a wide range of occupations from a variety of industries, illustrating the diversify of Memphis’ economy.

The 2009 class of MBJ’s Top 40 Under 40 will be honored at a luncheon Nov. 13 at noon at the Hilton Memphis. This year’s awards are sponsored by Christian Brothers University.
