Scott Messmore is currently President and CEO of MBI which was founded in August 1995. Scott partnered with Steelcase, Inc., the world’s largest office furniture manufacturer, and other key suppliers to provide interior design and furnishing solutions to organizations in the Memphis area. MBI quickly rose to be the mid-south’s largest supplier of products and services to businesses of all types. MBI is most proud of its dedication to providing clients with a superior service experience from excellent employees. Messmore was a former Vice President with Steelcase, Canada and had 16 years experience with Steelcase, Inc in a variety of sales, marketing and leadership positions. He graduated from the University of Florida with a bachelor’s in business administration.

He is committed to playing an active role in the business and local community. As such, he has achieved the following:

• Served as Chairman of the Junior Achievement Board of Directors
  
• Served on Board of Directors for the Germantown Area Chamber
  
• Currently serves on the Board of EmergeMemphis
  
• Currently serves on the Advisory Board of the FedEx Institute of Technology
  
• Currently serves on the Memphis Regional Chamber Board of Advisors
  
• Served on the Board of Hope House for 5 years

“This community has been so accepting and supportive of me, my family and my business,” says Messmore, “I feel compelled to give back to Memphis through ongoing community service.” Scott and his wife, Joan, live in Germantown. They have three children; Michael, Jeffrey and Allison. Scott enjoys golf, fly fishing, spending time with his family—and even cooking for them! “I’ve been in Memphis for over 10 years now and I am constantly pleased at how much this city has to offer,” says Messmore, “From business and education to family life and community involvement opportunities, Memphis is the city where the possibilities are truly endless.”
